The AA is the largest motoring organisation in Britain. Founded in 1905, their business spans a wide range of driving services, such as; breakdown cover, car insurance, driving lessons, as well as loans and other financial services products.

With millions of payments sent annually, the AA wanted a payments software provider that was lean and agile, with a strong tech background and a focus on new developments in the payments industry.

The AA insists that each of their partners understand and protect their 112-year strong reputation. AccessPay therefore needed to demonstrate the ability to consistently handle a large number of Direct Debit and Bacs direct credit files, with no downtime or disruption to AA customers.

After their previous payments provider was absorbed by a much larger organisation, the AA questioned their ability to meet their immediate needs. It was time for a rethink.

This rethink coupled with a digital transformation programme running across the organisation meant  a software provider with an emphasis on future proofing and agility were fundamental factors in the AA’s decision making.
