Young Women’s Trust & AccessPay

Young Women’s Trust supports and represents women aged 16-30 struggling to live on low or no pay in England and Wales and who are at risk of being trapped in poverty.

YWT have a proud history, originally founded over 150 years ago as YWCA England & Wales. They relaunched as Young Women’s Trust in 2014 with a new vision and direction, shaped by the young women they work with.

The proposed upgrade from the existing supplier was much more expensive than the previous package and was proposed as an ‘on-premise’ locally installed software solution.

“The AccessPay solution compared very favourably with our experience with the previous vendor. I found the setup process extremely easy and pain free. We had a tight deadline to meet after being issued an ‘End of Life’ notification from our existing supplier, which AccessPay took into consideration and duly met.”

Helping women grow

As a Charity, Young Women’s Trust have a critical reliance on Direct Debits to process their donations and fund their operation. YWT sought an ‘all in one’ solution with the capability of managing their Direct Debit and Bacs Reporting process as well as processing Payroll and Accounts Payable submissions.

Moving to the cloud would enable the Finance and Membership team to operate securely from any location. However the chosen solution needed to integrate seamlessly with their IRIS Exchequer and Raiser’s Edge back-office systems.

AccessPay delivered

The AccessPay cloud solution came pre-configured to accept the files from the YWT back-office systems for a smooth onboarding process. Moving to the cloud meant that staff could access the system anywhere, anytime, even when working from home.

““It is essential that I can submit from home if someone needs to be paid urgently.”

After receiving a quote which was much more expensive than what the Charity required, Director of Finance and Resources Janet Redman researched on the internet for a suitable replacement.

“I am very happy with the system as it is very easy to use, and it makes the admin side of payments much easier,”

“It is reassuring that any future upgrades are included free of charge, and that if our volumes increase, their charges will not,”
